What happened to Homecoming ?

Several T20 products mention this "Grand Adventure" but I can't seem to find it. Is it shelved indefinitely or will it ever see the light of day?

Is QLi still going to produce new T20 material or is it on hiatus?

thanks,

Blue

Well I'm not sure what happened that it fell to the wayside so long ago. Your question may be almost prescient given recent news on another Traveller board, The TAS boards over on Comstar, home of Avenger Press. It seems they are set to soon release "Gateway Domain Campaign Adventure 1: Homecoming". Could be it's the same one finally seeing the light.

Check it out and ask here:

That is the burning question. I hope and think it's just a matter of time before Hunter gets things back to normal and rolling here again. He has recently released some stuff but it'll take time to build confidence and submissions again.

Homecoming has had a rather convoluted history. I wrote it a long time ago, with the intention to publish through QLI. However, during Hunter's year-long absence I decided I couldn't wait any longer to make a return on my work. 1248, Homecoming and Starfall were moved to Avenger Enterprises, which is my own venture publishing through Comstar Games.

Then, just as Homecoming was about ready to go, Hunter returned. I had a discussion with him about publishing Homecoming through QLI, and we were close to estsablishing a set of terms that were acceptable to both of us.

However, I haven't heard from Hunter since mid september and I still need to make some kind of return on my work. So Homecoming is coming out as an Avenger product. It's not the most elegant solution, but that book represents several months' work for me and I make my living as a professional writer - I need to make money on what I write.

So... that's what happened to Homecoming. It's about to go on sale through Avenger/ComStar.

Homecoming will NOT be a T20 product. QLI has exclusive license to publish T20 and Avenger does not publish through QLI. Homecoming is thus statted for CT but easy enough to convert.

it'sa full scale campaign adventure set in Gateway Domain, simialr to The Traveller Adventure in many ways. It deals with characters investigating a mystery which leads to unraveling the 'secret history' of the Ley Sector region, what really happened in the Year of Woe, and some other revelations.

We (Avenger) don't make promises we may not be able to keep, but all Homecoming is waiting for is some art from Bryan Gibson, so probably just a few days for that, final layout etc. The PDF will be almost immediate after that. Print depends on demand/sales.

I hope it comes out sooner rather than later. How many parts will there be? Like part 1, 2, 3 etc? Or will it be one thing?

All this 'secret history' shit and mysteries are beyond awesome. I love that shit. :D

Homecoming is complete. It was originally intended to be the first of four linked but independent Grand Adventures. I don't know how that will work out now. Things have changed a lot since that plan was made.

Homecoming has been available for about three weeks now... available at the link below and... elsewhere.

And it's a fantastic read which I'm very much looking forward to running ASAP.

Paul Snow: A very satisfied customer.

I've just downloaded it. I've skimmed through it and it looks very comprehensive indeed. Can't think of many places where you can get 104 pages for just over a fiver.

Thanks Martin!
