Okay, I've been slaving over the EXCEL sheet for HG ships (cause I got one player who wants to SEE the tonnage/MCr/Energy AS he changes the input). I got a few questions of HG (see earlier thread). But NOW I am trying to test through the sheet, and i can't find any printed source that is erroneous to itself and HG.

The HG Kinunir (page 51) has a problem with crew allotment and Staterooms allocation, plus the Nuclear Damper is a code 5, with code 4 size/cost. Also, shouldn't the pinnance take up more space than it's own tonnage, and did they add the vehicles MCr into the total?
The Trillion Credit Squadron Regal BC (page 21) has a Fuel Purif Plant at 1/10th the size and cost, the crew allotment is totally confusing and the staterooms cost is off, I think I remember.
The Azhanti? Fergeddabodit....

What should this poor designer do?
1) Have some brave forum people test the spread sheet?
2) Find totally approved Canon HG ships (but where)?

Gats'.......

Do you have that quaint old saying about rocking horses and dung across the pond? Offhand, I can't think of any HG designs that follow HG.

Never heard of it. How does it go?

You've never heard, "As rare as rocking horse s**t" before?

Let's hear it for the comedic stylings of the 'Takei and Tanuki Travelling Roadshow', everyone!

As to the HG ships.....

Any other 'non dung related' solutions? I hate to work many hours on the spreadsheet just to release with many errors...

When it comes to HG ships the only real option is to ignore the published designs, virtually all of them have major errors (the Kininur is one of the worst). When I wrote HGS I designed a whole range of ships with pen and paper and got my beta testers to do likewise. I then used these to test the software against. Unfortunatly its the only way

I'd have to agree there. I went through the Book 2 designs a few months back and quite a few were wrong in some way.

well yes. Depending on your printing of Book 2, there are fair chunks of rules that just aren't there. When I was doing my retro Merc Cruiser plans last year I rediscovered just how fragmentary Book 2 is in places...
