In the Milleau Zero (original timeline) FFW, according to pp16 of The Spinward Marches Campaign, Duke Norris of Regina was not seen from between 212-1107, when he was declared sick, and 132-1109, when he relived Sector Admiral Santanocheev. So where the heck was he? The book further states that Norris went to the interdicted world of Algine, and recovered his Warrant from there, but nothing else about his movements. Where did he go, and what was he doing, for that nearly a year and three quarters? Any ideas or pointers?

Do you think he knew exactly where the Warrant was when he dropped out of sight? Or do you think he may have had to conduct an investigation first to narrow down the possibilities?
Have you thought about his relationship with Santanocheev? How that might have constrained his investiagtions? How Santanocheev loyalists may have reported on Norris' movements and even interfered with them?
Early in the war, Santanocheev announces that many systems are now Red Zones meaning Norris couldn't legally visit them while investigating what happened to the Warrant. Do you think that may have slowed things down somewhat? Norris can't openly ask for permission from Satanocheev to visit systems if his reason for visiting is to track down a warrant which he'll then use to depose Santanocheev. Norris finally recovers the Warrant on Algine, a red zone system. Norris' presence there in defiance of Imperial law until the Warrant is in his hand.
