As many have done before me, I've been working on my own set of updated rules for classic Traveller. Tinkering with CT seems to be a common thing for fans to do, and it's a lot of fun. After some play-testing done on my own, I'd like to ask anyone who is interesting in giving some feedback to please take a peek. Since I'm the only person who has really looked at this in detail, it really needs some other eyes to look at it. There are things I might do during a game from memory that are not stated in the rules, or are explained poorly. A few other people have played it, rolled up characters and such, but they were not Traveller fans who looked at it in detail, or in context.
I have seen so many very cool enhancements out there for CT, and seeing what others have done inspired me to try my own hand at them. I hope these are a good start, and I would love to hear any constructive feedback so I can make them better. Keep in mind these are replacement character generation, task resolution and combat rules that are to be used with good old classic Traveller. It is far from a stand-alone system.
If you would like to see someone else's work on updating CT, go to http://www.farfutureaction.com and download to your heart's content. It's too much to post here. There is a sample character and some cheat-sheet stuff there too.
Thanks!
