Perhaps I should have specified: no GDW games. I'm sure lots of people like 2300AD, but I'm interested in the spread beyond the immediate Traveller environment.

Put one in for Shadowrun... and another for Paranoia. Classics.

I picked Star Wars. But I would have picked Star Trek (FASA) if it was on there.

I haven't actually played any of those, though a couple were on my want list in their day. So I'd have to go with a write in vote, split for Paranoia or Gamma World.

GURPS Space, in fact my settings are as much GURPS Space (world building,
alien design, technology) as Traveller.

Otherwise, although not on the list: Expendables and Thousand Suns.

Kinda a toss up between Star Wars SAGA (but not d6 or the older d20) and SpaceMaster.


Went with SpaceMaster since that is what we play. Well a cut down modifier SpaceMaster with speedholes and a red paint job.

It's the crit that kills, you see...

Star Frontiers just narowly in front of Fading Suns for me.

I like Blue Planet and THS too, both are excellent settings rich with stuff I can borrow

If you (that's the general you, not the specific you) need more poll options, how about using two polls? Make option 10 in the first poll "None of the above, see next poll" and mark option 1 in the second poll "None of the below, see previous poll". That'd give you 18 options.

Battletech universe is cool, but I never heard great things about Mechwarrior.

Lets face it the FASA games may be the next best thing to GDW. Well of course it was born of traveller stuff. If you haven't done one I'd recommend m' all.

We re-did the doomsday machine scenario in Trek. It was tougher than it looks. And Star Wars is done best if done fast. I had fun with MechWarrior. Perhaps it was more enjoyable when they had the game centers in Chicago, etc.

That's what I *should* have done... clearly, ten options aren't enough...

I'd start over with two new polls, but in that case, lest this becomes a complete mess, the mods should delete this one.
