If your employer or agency has ever put you through these, and you feel comfortable sharing them, then flump them down here. This *may* help others relate to your posts better.

My MBTI: INFJ. Slight Introversion, High iNtuition (as opposed to Sensing), Feeling (as opposed to Thinking), Judging (as opposed to Perceiving). This results in descriptors such as: Gregarious, Quiet/Reflective, Abstract, Original, Logical, Compassionate, Questioning, and Methodical.

My DiSC Graph: High D ("decisive"), Low i ("reflective"), High S ("relaxed"), Very Low C ("rebellious").

"Achiever" type personality. Apt to get bored with tedium.

My MBTI: ISTJ

I = Introvert (as opposed to Extorvert)
S = Sensing
(as opposed to iNtutitive)
T= Thinking (as opposed to Feeling)
J = Judging
(as opposed to Perceiving)

Very strong on I & T, somewhat strong on
S & J.
The Classic "Administrator" type personality; detail oriented.

I have been the same over all years of testing. I am driven to be a great GM/Referee.

I do have great powers of focus, just not where I want to be when it comes to output of table usable material. Good with world building and NPC creation, however, my sandbox plots are usually so convoluted that the players miss so much of the detail I spent so many resources developing. I am taking an online seminar on Adventure Design which I have high hopes of developing useful skills and at the end of the seminar "webinar", I will have a playable adventure.

The other test I have not heard of, could a link to an online version be presented? For sure I am "Very Rebellious":coffeegulp:

MBTI: Taken twice. First time, INTP; strong on the first three, borderline on the fourth. Second time, INTJ; again, strong on the first three, borderline on the fourth. So I move on the fourth parameter,

DiSC: Strong C, almost as strong D; low i and S. Nothing moderate about me on this one.

I do not recall what my MB said, nor do I particularly worry about it.

As for DISC, I have not the foggiest idea as to what that is.

I've not gotten the same MBTI result twice in a row... The only constant is N.

I am a classic INTP.

The MB tests are terrible. The best way to find your type is to take a test to get a baseline, then go read that type and the similar types (change one or two letters at a time). Eventually one may feel more right than others. That's your type.

That is, typing by test is basically bullshit and the only reasonable use of this thing is self-identification. That's actually a useful classification that way.

I also find MBTI useful to remind myself that other people process the world in a totally different way than I do, and suggest strategies for communicating with them better. After a while, I can generally assign a person at least a quadrant (SJ, SP, NT, NF) and for some I can nail down another letter or two. Again, it doesn't have to be accurate; it just has to be useful. If that makes any sense.

So what does that translate to in QREBS?

5A3B0. Middling quality, slighly unreliable, easy to use, not burdensome, neither safe nor unsafe. :)

This is exactly how I use MBTI and DiSC. Traveller players always post from within their own context.

INTP

But the utility and validity of those tests is highly questionable. Perhaps more scientific and rigorous: "What Muppet are you?" "Which 80's Hair Band are you?" "Which Enlightenment Philosopher are you?"

Exactly the response I'd expect from an INTP.

...

You know, if I'd said that in the 1970's, it would probably sound like:

"Exactly the response I'd expect from a Libra."

Thereby proving your point.

The last time my employer tried to get me to do the latest personality inventory du jour at the time I told them to GFY and refused to do it. Psycho-babble as far as I am concerned. I would rather they showed up with a shaman with an e-meter.

I would agree with you. The last time I took a test like that, it said that I was a dentist. Note, I am not and never have been a dentist, nor ever had any desire to be a dentist.

I've had different experiences with MBTI.

I have a lot of distrust in the /tests/, but the categories help me understand myself better. They also help me understand how other people think differently than I do, and how I can relate to them better.

If you treat the types as descriptive rather than proscriptive, it helps.
