15mm mins for Traveller?

What is out there in the 15mm range besides the ultra-rare Citadel stuff?

I know there's a ton of military-type minis (GZG etc.), but, besides Laserburn, are there ranges with adventurer-esque figures?

Where "adventurer-esque" = doesn't wear battledress and/or wield military longarms. Basically, like the Citadel ship's crew/adventurers.

There are some 3rd party stuff aimed at 40K and Dark Heresy players. Reaper, I believe.

Peter Pig produces a number of ranges including a not Barsoom range, some olde pirates that might lend themselves to conversion, Arr! A range of wild west that might prove to be Firefly-ish, WW2 French resistance fighters, and many others. Well worth a look IMO.

Black Hat is an 18mm manufacturer that might have something suitable.

There is a Yahoo Group called 15mmSciFi IIRC. you might get some more pointers there.

Didn't I read here somewhere that RAFM is bringing out some of the old Citadel moulds?

I'm pretty sure someone picked up the old Citadel 15 mm Traveller figures but I can't recall who it was...

RAFM and Citadel were cross-Atlantic partners on those, way back in the day. RAFM still has some of the molds, and is producing them again. They may have more, so I plan to encourage them to look for them with an order soon. I got one of the old grav tanks when they re-released that.

For the simple Air/Raft I prefer the newer GZG offering. They have several good ATV candidates as well.

www.rebelminis.com has a werewolf line. A bit large but I got a few at one time & added weapons & equipment to make them vargyr. They have male & female & come as a set.
I had some Old Glory female samurai floating around in my old mini bins. Redid them with guns & blasters.

Battlestations have a mini line (can't remember the url). They tend to be small along the the lines of the old Martian Metal & the Stan Johansen minis.

www.splinteredlightminis.com has a few medieval fantasy feline 15mm minis that are nice but you would have to do a lot of rework that might be worth it. Their lynx scouts are very aslanish.

The Zombie hunters pack from Rebel Minis might be what you're after for armed civilians (haven't seen them aside from the pic on the site) - though the Ground Zero Games armed civilians are very good - I do have some of these.

RAFM seem to have expanded the old traveller line. They now have a nice grav APC, some other vehicles, 2 MRL sets, a group of laser cannons with gunners (the old citadel auto-cannon) plus two sets of troops (one high TL and one low TL).

Cheers
Richard

I have a few of the Zombie hunter minis. Now that I've financed new glasses & the sight has dramatically improved in the damaged left eye (gone from 20/400 to 20/40) I back to painting minis I'll working on them. I painted one figure already for my wife-a female with two automatics. As soon as I finished them I'll photograph & upload.

I just finished painting the Rebel Minis hunters & posted the pic in under characters in the Imperial Museum of Art. I've also posted a pic of the Rebel Minis werewolves done up as Vargyr also under the same category.

Heresy Miniatures sculptor and owner is starting on a 15mm Sci-fi line as an alternative to the high cost of 28mm armies. I would think the Traveller community should voice their support, and maybe have a little input on there design, and you should check out his miniatures, he has some sweet sci-fi 28mm.

My GZG 15s arrived the other day, and I have to say they are fantastic! I'm really, really impressed by the quality. Sure, there was some flash, mold lines, what-have-you, but that's to be expected.

Now I have a bunch of guys (and gals) in vacc suits, heavy vacc suits, some of them floating in space in said vacc suits, some armed, some carrying toolkits, etc., and in addition I picked up a pack of civilians, including two guys in dusters with stetsons.

Brilliant!
