Has anyone plotted where TRAPPIST-1 and its seven planets would be on 2300's Near Star Map?
According to Wikipedia, it can be found at Right Ascension 23h 06m 29.283s and Declination −05° 02′ 28.59″ and 39.6 +/- 0.4 ly.
I'll worry about the Right Ascension first.
Stars on the Map that I find info for include 85 Pegasi at RA 00h 02m 10.16s, and Fomalhaut at RA 22h 48m 04.47s - so TRAPPIST-1 should be at an angle in between those two stars.
Very roughly towards the Chinese Arm.
85 Pegasi has a given range of 39.5 +/- 0.4 ly, so their ranges are quite close - roughly the same distance from Sol.
Declination's different though.
I foresee a bit of trig in my future, and see if it's in range of ships traveling the Chinese Arm.
