I just always imagined that all scouts where pretty much the same everywhere. However I still dont like the deckplan ;-P

What specifically didn't you like?

The original deckplan was off, and that is being fixed now. I am also having 4 seperate 'staterooms' designated.

On the staterooms, they will be small, about 1 ton in actual 'stateroom' space.

Why so little?

1) Not all of the 4 tons listed for a stateroom is actually passenger sleeping and privacy accomodations. A good portion of this, usually 1-2 tons on a civilian ship, more on a military vessel will be used for corridors, galley, and rec space.

2) This is a working scout vessel. A large central rec/galley area is provided for the crew. The 'staterooms' are really just a place for a crewman to get sleep and maybe a small bit of privacy.

I just liked the "clean cut" design of the old one. Hey does this new one have a better life support system, so it wont get smelly like the old one. If it does im in.

I really like the new scout design, but I've got two question.....1.where's the bathroom? 2.what are all those small rooms on the port side(ship's locker, storage?).Could a room list be included in the .pdf ? I'm not into the d20 system (an old ad&d from way back) but I'm defitnaly going to buy these rules when they come out. Bob Brown

Does any great old one (or new old one

) have any idea of an accurate number of scouts in service?. FS says between 15000-30000.

"Sorry, but you'll need to ask each subsector paymaster that question, as the answer gets "fuzzy" even at the individual ship level..."

No wonder the computers weigh tons. Thats just memory taken up by the ship ID data for all the scout variants
