200 ton scout

eclipse

SOC-13
I threw this together using the shipyard program with the T20 switch flipped. A player is working on deckplans.

COMMENTS: It's an airframe cylinder. I'm picturing with variable wings (like I said, a big Serpent) with a clamshell cargo door in the nose (under the bridge). I want drive in/drive off cargo bay access.
Laser turret up top, the sandcaster turret on the bottom. One of the additional airlocks should connect to the Air/Raft bay.

Ah, certainly Von Saarthuran, your enthusiasm is understandable. I believe the gentleman refers to Andrew Moffatt-Vallance's spreadsheet. You can read about it here.

Alternatively there is also...

...now ver.1.3 with mixed turret crunchyness I believe.

Nice design eclipse though I do have a couple of constructive (I hope ;) ) criticisms.

According to the text on the page linked the ship is rated 2G maneuver while the design here says its 3G, and my usp speak has sadly lasped so I'm not sure what it reads.

I believe you, or the program/spreadsheet, may have made a small interpretive error in the T20 design process for the Ship's Computer model as it relates to the allowed Ship Sensors model and Communications model as I posted here.

You're right about the G rating. I gave it some extra legs and forgot to update my notes.

I'll look into the computer/sensors thing.

No problem eclipse, updates are a nag ;)

I would be interested in your interpretation of the rules, though of course I'm hoping for some 'official' guidance

I am also curious which spreadsheet you're using, did I point the Baron in the right general direction

It's not a spreadsheet. It's the High Guard Shipyard program. Written by Andrew Moffatt-Vallance. Version 1.15

I downloaded my copy from the CT ship design group on yahoo.
