216 pieces of equipment

Robject has a great idea, to which others have added.

Some "stuff" will usually play a role only in its absence (socks, shoes), or by adding color. The classifications should not be mutually exclusive, though, per the minging underwear example.

The real work of love would be a set of tables, to include tables on the useful, the mundane (setting and TL dependent), the colorful. A lot of these can be kits or bunches (female high passenger's stateroom contents). Other tables can be used to add color or detail to those items already rolled (brands, logos, markings, etc.)

We generally have great imaginations, but when the players go in an unexpected direction, or one is unexpectedly overcome by encephelatic flatulence, :oo: such a set of tables would be a huge help. There is always something ya don't think of.

That is easy to answer. If the Imperial Marines are anything like the United States military, they are probably taking them to be issued at the coldest planet around. The desert planet will be getting the Uniform, BDU, Cold Climate uniforms.....

Mike

It's kind of fun but pathetic to see GI's shivering in desert BDUs in Alaska... and it doesn't even work well, since tan stands out against the green and white.

Lists are good

In the movie Ice Pirates, the pirates are looking in a ship's (closet) locker on the bridge. It has many different things in it including a Space Herpes.

Dave Chase

Surprise, surprise, surprise. Opened up a very acient low berth and out poped Gomer Pyle.

 [Dons vacc suit] Never saw the tri-vid. What is "a Space Herpes?"

Nasty little thing, slimy little thing that is very dangerous.

(Actually it was a play on the Herpes scare, since Ice Pirates was a comedy SciFi movie)

Ice Pirates is a fun little movie, for the classic
we are pirates
we steal water, cause that is the most valuable thing in the universe
if you are caught you are casturated/spaded and made into a mindless slave
there are rich people and poor people and hinted working class but not really
lots of robots, some very cheap & some very, very interesting looking cheap robots (is that rubber suit that guy is wearing?) and lots of silly fighting
swamp, desert, city covering the entire surface type planets
etc
great little movie to have some fun, laugh and say that was neat now lets go watch some real SciFi movies
