Just wondering if anyone has better rules for 2300 cybertech than what has been published in the Earth Cybertech Sourcebook. I always found them very lacking.
You might try the stuff from GDW's "Fire, Fusion&Steel", their TechBible of Traveller:The New Era
The rules from Cyberpunk2020 might also work. An older Challenge had an Article on Cyberware with dual stats for CP and 2300. CP has the benefit of being "in print"
I never liked T2300 jumping on the CP band wagon by the introduction of cybertech in the Earth sourcebook. I much prefered the pentapod biotech.
That said, when I ran T2300 it included the CP bits and it worked well. I found the Walter Jon Williams inspired Hardwired CP sourcebook to be a good resource, and even included the adventure in Near Orbit as part of the T2300 campaign.
If I ever get the chance to run a T2300 based game again it will include elements taken from Transhuman Space - the ideas in that game are brilliant, I just have a hard time thinking of scenarios without also bringing to mind T2300, Blue Planet and GURPS Terradyne. Oh, and CyberPunk Deep Space
