Adventure Ideas for Yori Please

Hi folks,

I've just started the Twilight's Peak adventure and after a tricky situation, the characters have fled Regina and jumped to Yori. Which is not really what I had in mind but freedom of choice is one of the things that makes Traveller so good.

This is what the Wiki has to say about Yori.

A rich Imperial world located in the Regina Subsector of the Spinward Marches. Yori has a hot climate and a standard oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere. Salt mining from Yori’s huge dried sea beds is the planet's main industry; this salt is highly valued by the food industries of many worlds.

In addition to Yori Startown, the other major settlement on the planet is Davinci. The Yori system contains an imperial research station on the 14th moon of the system's second gas giant and rumors persist of an Ancients site on the moon.

Given that we are playing TP - I'd like to mix in a few red herrings to do with the Ancients and the research station.

Any ideas or suggestions for a quick adventure in the Yori system?

If you ignore the Wiki info on Yori you could use this alternative source. There are a couple of adventures (links at the bottom of the page) that you might be able to adapt.

Yep, I used that link and my group of players spent about a year on Yori and then when they left Yori they ended up on Jenghe. Now if Peter would prep some details for Jenghe I would be very happy..

For Jenghe this is all I have ATM:

In 971, Jenghe's moon crashed into it, destroying most of the world's dry land mass, and raising ocean levels considerably. Almost ninety percent of the population perished, and the world was placed under Regina's control. Jenghe has an unusually strong magnetic field, and the moon was primarily of nickel-iron composition, though whether this was the mechanism that triggered the disaster is unknown. Jenghe was made Duke Norris' personal fief in 1103, and despite the Representational Reforms, is still connected to the First Regent's family, and Regent Caranda is considered its titular head.


1103: Arcon Lines (AL) a new interstellar corporation settled on Jenghe as it's corporate HQ with a base providing administrative offices a landing field and maintenance facilities for its small fleet of merchant ships. AL runs cargo and passengers on an established routes primarily Jenghe-Regina and Jenghe Ruie. The company is owned by retired Rear Admiral Rutger hault Rognvald the famous noble who was considered a 'Top Gun' of the fighter pilot community when serving on active duty and a dashing celebrity and the subject of several books and films.


Imperial Star Scouts (ISS): Tracing its roots back to the Boy Scouts/Explorer Scouts and the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, this youth organization is supported by the Imperial Navy and the Imerial Interstellar Scout Service. Children ages 11-18 join the ISS as a volunteer and adults, service members and former service members conduct regular meetings and provide training and guidance. The goal of the ISS is to offer youth a pathway to service with the Navy or the Scouts. The Navy provides each scout with Naval Uniforms and hosts training which is offered free of charge to the scouts. The Order of the Arrow is a patron of the ISS and ISS membership is widespread within the Imperium but membership tends to be higher on frontier systems. Summer cruises are common for ISS members and when qualified, they are allowed to serve in crew positions on IISS and IN vessels.


There is a small chapter of ISS on Jenghe which is sponsored by retired Rear Admiral Rutger hault Rognvald, the Jenghe chapter meets each week at the auxillary hangar in the Arcon Lines compound.
