LOL Not a hobby, politics. In the 1248 books, The Droyne planets, who join the Freedom League (former Reformation Coalition) in the 1210s, begin forcibly casting Chirpers found on other worlds in order to increase the Droyne voting bloc in the League...
 
The Mongoose version of SotA provides another piece of the puzzle. The War didn't end. That opens up all sorts of possible shenanigans.
