Best Movie/Computer Game Ships to Convert to CT/HG?

Movie ships

I worked through many designs the Eagles, Discovery...etc. but never considered Dark Star. Do we have many stats about it? That life expectancy is a problem.

As far as I am aware, there are no stats available.

A long time ago, I took measurements from movie frames (can't find my notes at the moment), and came up with (IIRC) approx 400T for the hull size.

It's equipped with a black globe.

Dark Star Travellers

So it was pretty slow scout cruiser too. I have the DVD and watched it once...it had some form of nukes too!

Do you really want to blow up your players? Or is for passing amusement?

The Darkstar carried self-aware Thermo-Stellar devices. Each one was capable of vaporizing an entire stellar system.

Not true.

The Darkstar carried self-aware Thermo-Stellar devices. Each one was capable of vaporizing an entire stellar system.
The Thermo-Stellar devices were only for blowing up unstable planets that would fall into the star of the system making the system unable to be colonized due to the danger of the unstable world causing the star to go nova.

Don't you people read the orders before launch. I bet you didn't check the hatches on the toilet paper storage either. :p

And where is this black globe? They just have a (mag?) screen which as you may recall wasn't anywhere as effective as a black globe.

I was going by the novel not the movie.

Novel?

I was going by the novel not the movie.
What novel? Are you saying that they not only did a student film they also got a novelization out of it, or that they did a movie of an existing novel?

Either way, sounds like something I will have to check out. Thanks.
