There was a great story about a couple of men who had a pet lion in London (I think). It was a cub, they raised it, it was well behaved, etc.

Inevitably, as was wise, they turned to releasing into the wild in Africa in a protected park.

A few years later, they went back to visit and see the park, the caretaker, and view the animal in his new home.

The lion saw them and, after hesitating, ran to and leaped up on them, like these photos, hugs all around. Beautiful moment.
