Classic Traveller .pdfs

What are essential/wonderful/great pdf files available out there for Classic Traveller?

I'm kind of new to the .pdf revolution in gaming, but since I'm going to Afghanistan soon and won't have room in my duffel for all my game books...

None that I know of. Far Future Enterprises published the CT material in reprints format. They may eventually sell pdfs, but AFAIK, they're not doing it right now.

Universal Task Profile for CT (link)
Simplifies resolving tasks.

BITS Task System (link)
Even simpler task resolution and also handy in converting tasks from other versions of Traveller. There’s a T20 addon to the list on Freelance Traveller.

Consolidated Equipment List (link)

Future History (link) file on Downport.
Personally I think the integrated timeline is more thorough but it's not in pdf. This file is still a good overview.

I believe the initial comments about GDW and similar products going on DTRPG mentioned that CT would not be made available for sale on PDF. My guess is due to the CT reprint books. <shrugs>

As for QLI products, Traveller’s Aide#1 has CT weapon stats and is a good all in one compilation of basic weapons. Traveller’s Aide#4 has CT stats for the 76 NPCs in it, though I understand the 101 or whatever supplements for CT are slightly better for CT. They aren’t on PDF though and TA4 provides basic NPC types at differing levels. The various EPIC adventures have CT stats in them. There’s 7 of those at the moment, 1 set in the Marches in the Golden Age, the others set in Gateway about a hundred years earlier. Unfortunately the Gateway Domain book is no longer available for sale as a pdf and the free cluster pdf is now only available in print in the T20 screen. There is another cluster available for sale with a minor race freely available.

All I can come up with at the moment. I know there are more out there. And most any of the fluff out there is useable.

HTH,
Casey

The Yiarn Caardee Vehicle Catalog is also advertised on QLI's CT home page. (Which is just a compilation of the three vehicle TAs?)

Looking at the sample PDF, there seems to be the occasional note on how to handle something in CT. The TL, MCr, & description of each vehicle could certainly be used. I couldn't speak to Striker compatibility, though.

Interestingly, the print version of TA1 that I bought this weekend actually says "Approved for use with Classic Traveller" on the cover. (Which doesn't appear in the cover shot on the web site.)

That's my understanding since I've heard nothing about it containing anything additional.

I'm thinking more along the lines of armor and weapon damage. All I'm seeing are a few (CT: Roll 8+ +DM: x Skill)s. Now I'm not saying you couldn't adapt or drop in the vehicles, and I've argued such before, but that's not the same thing as having conversion rules, dual-stats, or design features for some sort of CT design sequence*. <shrugs>

FWIW in each of the TAs in question-
"This book is intended for use with Classic Traveller (CT) and T20 – Traveller for the D20 system. Background material is of course also fully compatible with other versions of Traveller."

Interestingly, the print version of TA1 that I bought this weekend actually says "Approved for use with Classic Traveller" on the cover.
Hmm, have to take a look at mine. Well TA1 does have full CT stats and such.

* hence the mention of Striker since that's the only CT vehicle design sequence I'm aware of.

I know what you want and yes they are out there. You just have to look very hard. After an all night search on google trying every keyword combination possible I found a treasure cache of nearly all of them in pdf format.
