Computer USP/UVP

In combat a gunner can use beam lasers for point defense. In T20 is says that the gunner rolls d20 + skill + weapon USP + computer USP/UVP how do i find out what the computer USP/UVP is. Am i right in assuming that this is the computer model number ?

It doesn't actally mention Beam laser specifically, just "lasers". From suggestions in this forum I've decided to give a +2 bonus to beam and a -2 penalty to pulse laser for point defense work.

Computer USP/UVP is the computer rating (M/1 to M/9). Abbreviated without the M/.

I assumed that this was to indicate computer/sensor targetting rather then just the model number. In this case it would be model number if a sensor operator succeeds in targetting, or a third the model number if the computer is handling targetting.
