CoTI London Pub Meet (was Gencon UK)

I'm currently unsure whether or not I shall be able to make the meet unfortunately. We are having a new bathroom fitted at the moment and it may go over into Saturday. If it does I shall not be able to make the meet, but I shall try to get there. If it finishes on Saturday at a decent time I may still try even if I am a little late.
 
How we will know each other:

I'll wear a red baseball cap with 'DeafBlind UK' written on it. I can't imagine there'll be many of those in the pub, so you'll be able to find me easily.

I'm going to Leisure Games first, but I'll aim to be at the pub as soon after 1:30 as the tube journey will allow...

Although it's many years since I last played Traveller, I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and my interest is renewed. If I have time on Saturday I'll try and make it.

it looks like i'm going to have to work saturday afternoon :mad: so i doubt i'll make it , sorry to miss you guys. dragonmeet is RINGFENCED though, so hopefully see you all there?

With any luck I'll be there, bathroom permitting. If I am I shall be wearing greenish combats and a black Queensryche T-Shirt. And probably a look of total disgust at being in London.
 
Oops, sorry guys, I missed. Turned up late (as is my forte) only to discover pub was closed for a private function. I guess you found another venue at the last minute but where?

Oh, well. I'll see some of you at Gencon UK in a couple of weeks (I should be around Thu night to Sun).

Sorry I missed you Hemdian.

I was there from 1:50 to 3:00 (when it closed for a private function). No-one else showed up (unless the were disguised as the bar staff).

At 3:00 I went down to the Cock on Fleet Street (thinking everybody was in there) - only to find it closed. I then spent ten minutes not finding anything I recognised from the Fleet Street I remember, so I gave up and came home.

I won't be at Gencon, but if you're coming to Dragonmeet (on the 4th December) you'll be very welcome to join the game I'm running for Hirch, Binky and anyone else who wants to play (probably Classic Traveller, but you never know...). Find us at, or at least near, the BITS stand.

oops - hope you made some good purchases at leisure games david , so your trip wasn't wasted. their online ordering has been the death of my bank account (don't tell the mrs...)

as for dragonmeet - you are reffing david so you choose the rules you like ... you'll just have to tell me which dice to roll :)

sorry about the private function, the gods were not on our side - I turned up at 2.50 asked the bar staff if any Traveller people were about and they said no and pointed me in the direction of the door....
 
I'm sorry I missed you Elliot. I didn't tell the bar staff why I was there (relying on my red hat as identification).

We must have passed each other, or missed each other by seconds.
