CT Reprints = Love

I just got my third CT Reprint today, (Classic Adventures, I already got the Books 0-8 and the supplements) and all I can say is:

YeeHAW!!! (gunshots) Yip Yip Yowee! (more gunshots)

Absolutely Tremendous!!!!!

Especially some of the cooler stuff "approved for use with Traveller". I'd maim to get ahold of FASA's equipment catalogue, or the adventures/rules for the mountain and underwater environments.
I'd also love to see some massive deckplan reprints a la "Doom of the Singing Star" and "The Evening Star"...
Next on my "to buy" list are all of those juicy little JTAS reprints.
(Do ya hear me, Mark?...I'm a-comin' and mah PayPal Account is LOADED, baby!)

Hey, I wonder if the Veteran's Administration will allow me to use my Mongomery G.I. Bill to finance the acquisition of all current and future Classic Traveller reprints...

I wonder sometimes why the mustering-out benefits for Army, Navy, and Marines doesn't include something like the Montgomery G.I. Bill, or nothing-down Veteran's Administration loans for housing (or starships)...

Didja ever wonder if the platypus was a bio-engineering experiment derived from a random-encounter generation table?

Opinions here people do I go for the Alien books or Journal of the Traveller Aid Society Books next?

I have got the Black Book reprints and the Classic Supplements.

Also, has anyone read the Short Adventures? Are they worth it?

Should I get the Classic Adventures before the JTAS books?

Questions...Questions...

Thanks ahead of time.

mmm though question...
It all boils down to what you want to do. JTAS has a metric ton of campaign ideas, and quick and dirty alien write ups. I'd reccomend them first. After that Id prolly buy the Alien Books followed by CA and then DA. The short adventures are worth it for the Chamax plague stuff and Safari Ship data. SA is the least valuable of the books though. Still At that point buying them all is a pretty good idea.

Thanks Dynamo. That is what I was thinking. Far Future shows the Alien Books as available but there are not in the store here?

What's up with that?

Oh well... I am sticking with CT and my own house rules. Might even start up a campaign soon. Got a couple of people in the office iterested.

Classic Traveller reprints are the best resource for all Traveller players. I would love for Far Future Enterprises tp publish Second Survey, which would be scheduled sometime in the future, on the mapping and mapping systems in the Traveller Universe. So far I have the first five reprints and am doing my best to purchase the other volumes for my Canon library.

I am going to make a radical statement. With some minor house rules for advancement, hits, combat and inclusion of a few new Sci-Fi concepts, Traveller is still the best most effective RPG system around.

Should I start a CT house rules thread here or in IMTU forum?

:)
