From what I've read (on this forum, in fact), DGP owed a not insignificant amount of money to some of the authors when it folded, and those debts were transferred to the new owner.
This is false. There is in fact a thread on this board where Joe Fugate (owner and founder of DGP) discusses in detail the process of selling the DGP. When Joe closed DGP, there was no money owed to anyone, and certainly none of the debts were passed to Roger.
You may be conflating the Imperium Games/T4 debacle where a number of authors for that company and line were owed money that was never paid.
