I don't know whether those were our rules or not. There were about a dozen sheets of closely-written handwriting. Every so often our ref's cousin would send him another photocopied sheet or two of updates. There was one really fat letter, with a bunch of sheets of creatures.
We were told there was another group of players in the Sacramento area at the same time (we were in the S.F. East Bay area), but we never got a chance to get together with them.
At the time I never thought to get a copy of these rules for myself. After all, it wasn't like every player had their own copy of Panzerblitz or Nuclear War. One of us had the game and the rest just came and played. The idea of getting my own copy didn't even occur to me until ten years later when we were all off at college. The times we managed to get together we didn't manage to get me copies of the rules.
I know my old ref is still out there. We last got together about 10 years ago, and he's had a book published since then so there's proof he's still kicking in at least the recent past. I sometimes think to try to contact him through mutual friends (and I've tried his publisher, too), but so far no luck. The last few times we've gotten together I can't remember if I asked him if he still had the old photocopies. He's the sort that tends to hang on to old stuff, though (or used to be, anyway.)
Even if he doesn't have the notes, he's probably also got a lot more of the original rules committed to memory. I didn't bother to learn more of the rules at the time than what I needed to play my character.
If I come up with something, I'll let folks here know.
