Which Edition? Differences between CT and Mongoose

He had some of if not the first ST game out, hardcore mini style.

Later editions had rules for gridded play (hex-grid) and counters for it.

I would have loved to see the shop in it's prime.

I must have visited the store about 4 times, on visits to MS Gulf Coast. I remember a small display counter up front (mostly Zocchi dice and GameScience products), but most of the site was warehouse-type racks of merchandise, as it was primarily a distributorship. The last one or two times I visited I had to sign in (and show a driver's license) and go thru a turnstile, after somebody had done a grab-and-run.

I only went the one time, since the next time I was out that way the store had closed.

There was the small display upfront, but when I went, you could go among the warehouse shelves. Items were priced. That's where I picked up the stuff I bought, not from the store in the front.

I didn't have to show my DL, either.
