Double Adventure 1: Shadows, page 13

May not be the right area for posting.

Revisiting my collection and reading through the Classic Traveller CD-ROM.

Page 13 of Double Adventure 1: Shadows seems to be taken from page 13 of Double Adventure 1: Annic Nova.

Anybody have a replacement? or scan?

Marcus.

Might be in the errata on FFE page:

http://www.farfuture.net/errata.html

(scroll down to the "Pages Missing from... " pdf)

If not, post back here and we'll sort it out :)

EDIT: Had a chance just now to take a look and it seems to not be there. MY CD is also the same (page mixup). Working on a fix... (bump this thread if nothing happens in a couple days) In the meantime if you need the info to run the adventure it is repeated in "The Traveller Book" on the same CD.

Hm. My p. 13 seems okay, but the quality of Shadows on my disk is horrendous--nigh unreadable as it was scanned at very, very low res. :(

There was a rumour some time back that FFE would release better scans on a new disk. Is this coming to fruition or merely a myth?

My quality seems ok (some other files are worse as I recall), very readable on a quick look. I can't find a resolution datum anywhere. Just page and file size (properties: 2.83" x 4.16" and 6.48MB fwiw). The missing page issue seems limited to a certain batch which DonM is trying to figure out while working on a fix for the missing page (update the errata file on FFE I suppose). Not sure what if anything can be done about the resolution issue ShapeShifter.

Thanks for the infos. It sounds like some consumers got CDs which had better res files than others got. Whoever did the scans for that disk should be shoved unceremoniously into an airlock without a vacc suit.

That's harsh, Dude. Me, I appreciate being able to get these at all after 30 some years. And I'm not surprised if some are a bit dilapidated. My own 'The Traveller Book' is a bit dilapidated, too. I think for as much info as is on the disc, an error here or there is understandable.

Agreed! Some of my stuff is not in top shape, either.
