Dynasty

I just picked up Dynasty a couple of days ago. Has anyone played it yet? If so, would you share your results and opinions?

I've run into a few snags in my first couple of attempts to create a fledling dynasty but overall can see some good potential for the game.

I've got a bunch of free time over the holidays and would be open to participating or running a run-through of Dynasty via the interwebs. Anybody interested?

I'd be interesting in testing it out. It certainly looks like something you need to play to really understand... I'm on the US East Coast (GMT -5), if that helps.

I just got this from drivethru. Pretty cool, but I think I want to weld it into T4 pocket empires to get the flavor I want.

A lot of it reminds me of the history section of D&D World Builder's Guidebook by Rich Baker (Which I use for traveller).

What's missing for me is a solid interface with some of the "mid-tier" systems in previous MgT publications - mercenary organizations from Mercenary, corporations from Merchant Prince, etc. And yeah, it's even more abstract than Pocket Empires, as well as being so fully disconnected from the Third Imperium setting that there's no trace of the Nobility-Megacorporations-Navy triumvirate that is dominate in that setting. It's not even an option in the RAW* in Dynasty.

*Yeah, it can be tweaked/customized. If I wanted to do 3I, or a 3I-inspired Dynasty game, I'd have to.

Thread necromancy!

I just picked up Dynasty. I don't see much discussion on the forums about this game. Has anything changed since, oh, 2011?

Like the OP, I'm also considering running a web-based game of this. 4-5 players at first, and then see how much I can expand it.
