Exotic Dinner

My future daughter-in-law posted this to my son, and it is a very interesting way to eat squid. Just the thing for an exotic treat for a Aslan or Vargr dinner party.

I am not sure if the K'kree would appreciate it though.

Edit Note: I am tempted to try it if a restaurant in the San Francisco area serves it. I do like squid, also known as calamari for those who cringe at the thought of squid. We will be out in the San Fran area for our son's wedding in May.

Can't get the video to work, but I think I'd draw the line here:

Used to work as a mate on a fishing boat. We used squid for bait a lot. One of my jobs was cleaning up the boat when we returned to dock. Few things smell worse then chunks of squid left on the deck after they've baked in the sun for a few hours. 35 years later and I still can't eat squid. Never mind ones that are still moving!

I've seen it in San Francsico... can't remember where though. Racking my brain.

And, just two more words... OY VEY!

Shalom,

Sorry, I do not get the quote.

It's from Galaxy Quest. The schtick is that the main characters are the actors from a canceled TV show, but the aliens (including the guy on the left) think that they really are Earth's NSEA crew of the NSEA Protector... Rickman's character is human with a headpiece on, and totally being sarcastic.

Sorry, I do not get the quote.

Movie Galaxy Quest, where the actors and a Star Trek-like series are mistaken by an innocent but technically advanced alien race as being real space heroes.

The aliens 'recreate' the series' ship NSEA Protector and when they get in trouble with it ask the actors to come play their roles for real.

The scene in question is where the aliens have taken pains to recreate each character's favorite dishes, and the science officer actor is offered his character's live bloodticks while everyone else gets delicious Earth fare.
