FFE Update

Woo-Hoo!

Code:
NEW TITLES: Our order page is now enabled to take orders for the
Traveller: New Era CDROM; it will ship by the end of September. This disk is
FULL (689 mb) and contains the entire TNE product canon from GDW (we're
working on a second disk with Challenge magazine articles, the TNE novels,
and the 1248 materials.

And here I still have not received my FASA CD that I paid for May 11, 2009. I don't think I'll be ordering any other items.

indeed you should contact Marc not hadhad anything lost but my first copy of the classic travler disk was seriously defect and was replaced without q

I just PM'd beowulf on this. We'll get him fixed up.

Ordered in May? I would have expected him to have shouted before now...

Anyway, Marc tries to be all over these kind of problems as quickly as possible...

Agreed; I've seen discussions elsewhere - the TML, mostly, IIRC, where people have said they've had problems, and when they contacted Marc about them, they got straightened out so fast that one might think that time travel was involved...

Marc has made FFE an example of what customer service SHOULD be, universally.

Let me know if you receive yours before I get mine. I'm still waiting.

<making strangling noises>

I know Marc sent you a new CD. Did you get an e-mail from him, because I know he and I exchanged e-mails on your issue.

Send me another (the third, I am very sorry) e-mail on this (don.mckinney@gmail.com), and maybe Marc can get them to track it.

After sending an e-mail to Don, I received a very nice reply from Mr. Miller with an offer to send another CD. Now that is good customer service.

Yes. Mr. Miller is excellent with making us spacers happy.

BTW, the "jump drive" sounded interesting. Love to learn more.
The Galaxy game also piqued my interest. I wonder how much it has in common with previously released games.

Reading these boards, Marc seems to have an unfortunate number of CDs go missing in the post (though maybe not if his throughput is high) and I can't help picturing some sinister postal worker selling intercepted CDs on Ebay:

"Aha, another mailing from Mr Miller, that'll make me another twenty dollar bonus." <surreptitiously pushes package down waistband>...

I'm sure there's a plot hook in there somewhere...

All the other CD's I've ordered from FFE (Classic, JTAS and T-5) arrived without problems. It's just been this last FASA/Gamelords CD that never arrived. So it must be a conspiricy with FASA and the U.S. Postal Service involved.
