We always ate out afterwards at a pizza place. Various people brought in personal snacks but no one ever seemed to give to the referees.
Now a sub-group of us playing Traveller would play Friday nights to 3 or 4 in the morning, making the donut run about 2am when the nearby bakery opened the back door as they were making donuts for the morning. Fresh out of the oil donuts, no chewing required as they would just melt in your mouth. It was not unusual for the bag to arrive empty back at the session. I miss those college days...

That can be dangerous. I was in a gaming club for a few years that had an on site bar; a d20 lobbed from one table to the next will go through the side of a pint glass, more often than not! The resultant cascades of beer wrecked more than one game manual. A tsunami of suds for the poor minis. (However, despite all that, I miss that club.)
