Just to be clear. I'm not suggesting for one second that you plaster the whole model in pointless greebles and paint it all the colours of the rainbow. There's nothing wrong with it being dark grey and largely featureless. The mesh you have is great and it's a nice design (as I've mentioned before) it's just too simplistic to get in close to. It needs more going on to not only add interest, but to also add scale.

Yeah there is no risk there. I'm not a fan of over greebling. My plan is to put some detail in the recesses in the bow, pipes and things of that sort, nothing excessive. The paint will still be largely grey, but I'm going to work on the specular map to try and get more detail out of the shine. The addition of the extra turrets and launches I think will have sufficient effect on the overall mesh.
