Haiku poetry
so simple, yet elegant
It's very Vlani.

Its also a bloody pig. it took me about half an hour to make that last line fit, and I'm a still not happy with it.

anybody who can compose these on the fly is a god of language, that's all I am saying.

Haikus are really
especially difficult
everyones a darn critic!

True Haiku is not
in syllable counts, instead
it is in beat-count.

Spoiler:

beat count is a better translation for the japanese term on...
Long vowels and dipthongs count as two on, double consonants (which do happen occasionally in Japanese) count double, and trailing consonants (-n -m, context dependent, same character) count 1.

And soon after, I thought of a rewrite last night:

Haiku is not just
a string of words in three lines.
Beats; five, seven, five.

Where-in one could switch beats for on.
