Happy Birthday to me

14 May was the 3rd anniversary of my cancer diagnosis (Stage 1B adenocarcinoma of the pancreatic head).

On the 16th had a CT scan and lab for kidney function.

CT showed no recurrence or metastasis, and my innards as good as can be expected after the major surgery that excised quite a bit of tissue. Labs showed normal kidney function.

Looks like I'll be around a while yet.

Congratulations on the good reports. Keep fighting the good fight and stick around a lot longer.

I just turned 61 myself... today in fact. I do hope you make a full recovery and have many happy days ahead of you.

Yeah, continued good health !

I'll be 71 this year, and I have 3 spots of basal cell carcinoma. Surgerey to remove in a couple of months. Wont change to melanoma.

So now I have to wear long sleeve t-shirts in the summer and/or use sun screen.

Thanks for creating this thread. I have done a little Oncology/Haematology Nursing myself and it is always an honour to be in this environment.

Nurses have been the bulwark of my care.
The doctors have directed things well, but I know who does the real work.

Yesterday was the 3rd anniversary of the modified Whipple procedure I underwent.
