Has anyone been using the TRAVELLER EXPLORER'S EDITION?

I'm wondering how well it works for newbies?

Can it be used as a Quickstart edition?

Has anyone bought it for their Players or potential Players?

It works very well as quickstart rules. The pdf currently sells for $1, add the two free adventures that you can get on drivethru and while you are there get the Ct Facsimile edition for free.

EE has the rules for skills and the task system, combat, ship operation, an equipment chapter, combat (personal and ship), encounters and dangers, and core world design. The two careers covered are scholar and scout.

It's not a quick start, exactly. Players still need to generate their characters. Worlds need to be made. The game has two of the Mongoose Traveller 2nd Edition careers. Scholar and Scout. The game includes the rules from the Core Rulebook that Scholar and Scout characters need. Basically, space explorer rules. I was contacted after a month to buy the full Traveller game for 10% off.
