Help Converting Characters CT/MGT to T20

I have a group that literally just started playing Mongoose Traveller (closest thing I had to CT without buying new books....) but I've had T20 and 2320AD in my possession for the better part of two years or so. We just started mongoose but I'm thinking of just switching over to the T20 because, frankly, its a system I'm more familiar with, and I think my group woudl agree as well. Well, I haven't pitched it to them yet, but outta curiosity and all that, how difficult is it to switch characters over frm one system to the other (from mongoose/CT over to T20)? I'm hoping not terribly difficult, but some pointers/rules/etc would be nice.

It's not going to be simple or easy. Nor really too hard if you don't mind fudging certain aspects

The old systems (CT/MGT) are quite different from T20. Stat ranges are different, skill check rolls are different. Skills are different. I think there was a post or two way back about converting characters. I'll have a quick look...

The solution is simple:
multiply the stats by 1.5

take the life history, and mesh it. You're counting terms, promotions, and special duties; any MGT event that gets a skill is a special duty for T20 conversion. Survival rolls as well come straight across. You're not looking at the numbers, JUST whether made or not... Roll Decorations.

Total up the XP, and rebuild the skills to match.
