High Level Campaigning

Now, if theres one thing I enjoy in roleplaying, its having Staff to order around.

So like, rather than clear out a dungeon you wave to a fluny and have them do it.

Or calling in a gunboat to express disappointment with the quality of kowtowing practiced by the local diplomats.

Now, it would seem that TNNE is perfect for having little, or even reasonably big empires for your characters to boss around.

Like, do people do that much with traveller?

I've only ever really played the Firefly end of it.

Must be like nice to unleash a battlefleet every once in a while.

Hang on. What was I talking about?

Oh yeah. Virus Rules!!!

Well, there's always the TED option in TNE...

Seriously, I wonder if anyone's played a TNE game as the TED on a planet, fighting off the Star Viking invaders?

We'll be doing something similar to this in a few weeks/months. First, I have to get them to the point where they're in charge of such things, and finish my sub-game which will allow faster resolution of these kinds of things.

To give you an idea... oh wait, I keep mentioning these boards to my players, and some of them actually listen when I say things, so I'd better not detail it just yet. Sorry.

I haven't yet but the players I've got could be so inclined at some point. Right now they're playing the pre-corruption years of the RQS. And they're likely to be the ones IMTU to help the RQS discover the benefits of corruption as listed in the RSB.

Of course they have to survive first....
