General Hit Points in Traveller: A Suggestion

I just posted this on one of the Facebook Groups as an idea to use when the Players are overly usefc to playing with Hit Points. If you ever try it out, let us know how it worked. If you see any flaws just eyeballin' it, make a comment.

T20 Traveller is based on D&D 3.5. T20 used Stamina and Lifeblood. Stamina is like Hit Points. But it's calculated by level in D&D. You could simulate it by adding STR, DEX, and END, plus Terms. Then use those points first in the game for damage. After they run out, the character takes damage normally.

It's a bit arbitrary. But it should do for D&D Players. At least until they want to 'Level Up'.

It's like 'Lifeblood' from MegaTraveller mixed with the Stamina/Lifeblood from T20.

YMMV

If you're going to use HP, you should also use DR for armor. All-or-nothing penetration isn't a very good model.
