I've had a little experience running MGT so far, and I was re-reading the rules again today. One of the things that went by the board pretty quickly was the dynamic element of initiative. Keeping track of changes, then re-sorting them every turn seemed too much for us: the re-sorting got skipped a few times, and then ignored completely.
It seems like it could be important, but our group of rookies didn't use Hasten or Reactions very much (perhaps not at all) and so we quietly dropped the whole thing. Again, we were rookies to the system, and getting the younger members (ages 11-14) to grok the fiddly bits of the game was a struggle.
We were using a magnetic board that we'd always used for D&D, each PC & NPC (group) was on a separate magnetic strip.
Opinions/options/suggestions? How do you do it at your table?
