This is an update of the old "How many people actually post on CotI" thread I made in October 2004. Why update? Because I'm bored

4th July 2005: There are 6,122 registered members of Coti.

14th October 2004: There were 5,614 registered members of Coti.

Which means we've added 508 members in the past 8-9 months.

----------------

But out of that large number only:

4th July 2005: 1,785 of them have ever posted to the boards, and out of those 1,405 have posted more than once.

14th October 2004: 1,592 of them have ever posted to the boards, and out of those 1,267 have posted more than once.

----------------

4th July 2005: 688 of them have posted more than 10 posts here.

14th October 2004: 632 of them have posted more than 10 posts here.

4th July 2005: 216 have posted more than 100 posts here.

14th October 2004: 183 have posted more than 100 posts here.

4th July 2005: 32 have posted more than 1000 posts here (I'll be charitable and add Paraquat Johnson, who is currently sitting at 1000 exactly

).

14th October 2004: 21 have posted more than 1000 posts here.

4th July 2005: 4,337 members had not posted anything at all to the boards, and either lurk and say nothing or signed up and never came back.

14th October 2004: 4,022 members had not posted anything at all to the boards, and either lurk and say nothing or signed up and never came back.

So an increase of 09.0488% in total memberships..

Single posters only have increased, a 12.12311% increase.

Those posters with more than one post have increased by 10.89187%

Those posters with ten or more posts have increased by 08.86075%.

Those posters with 100 posts or more have increased by 18.03278%.

Posters with 1000 posts or more increased by eleven, a 52.38095% increase.

And the silent who have joined and never posted increased by 07.83192%.

Twould appear all things are increasing, posting included as well as those who 'lurk'.

Ah but the number of silent members has increased by less than the number of members.

Therefore it could be concluded that the latest influx of members are actually more active!
