My TNE game

I run a Mercenary game.
More than half the contracts involve firepower of one form or another (security details get ambushed, grab and goes require fighting your way in or if discovered too soon on your way out, training foreign planetary defense forces, recon missions gone wrong, freeing the kidnapped, etc.)
The other half involve impersonations, negotiations, contract enforcement, Charting dangerous worlds, gathering intel, etc. do not have as much chance to involve combat.
The trick is to keep the players interested and active whether or not combat is involved in their mission parameters (they must be prepared at all time for situations to go south quickly and unexpectedly).

50 percent of the time for me.
With kids involved I try to keep it balanced but they love shooting things.
If I was playing with just adults then I would say probably 20 percent.

My campaign would be LOST without some form of conflict.

With that said I also have way of restoring wounded or injured players.

BALANCE!!!

If you chose combat as a major factor, include "MIRACULOUS" healing opportunities.

If you choose a storytelling approach, offer storyline balance... and so on.
