I'm a beginner ... where to start?

Hello!

I have the TRAVELLER BOOK, THE STARTER EDITION and the 3 LBBs ... in your opinion, of the 3 choices, what is the the best rules set to start with for a beginner?

I own also all the TRAVELLER related boardgames ... is there a one that you can recommend me?

Thank in advance!

Roberto

All three rules sets are very, very similar with 99% the same information. I'd start with with whichever appeals to you.

But, if you're talking about Space Combat, I'd definitely use the rules in Starter Traveller over LBB2 and The Traveller Book.

TTB probably has the most info and "extras" in it.

They are almost identical. The traveller book and starter edition have a few items of errata and new supplemental rules, but the character of the rules aren't significantly different.

Not significantly, but there are some differences. Starter Traveller allows the +1 DM for pulse lasers not mentioned in the other two.

LBB 1 doesn't allow any personal combat attacks while running, whereas Starter Traveller and The Traveller Book allow gun combat attack (but not a brawling or blade attack) if the character runs during the round.

The Traveller Book includes rules for cover & concealment and Zero Gravity that is not covered in LBB 1.

Little things like that.
