As a matter of canon, did the Third Imperium ever recognize the Solomani Confederation following the Solomani Rim War? As I recall the war ended as a temporary cease fire extended into a de facto armistice, but no treaty was signed.

Not quite the response I expected, but nevertheless (I blame the "similar threads" box).
I will try to be more relevant in future (although to be fair it did relate to something I was posting on earlier. I have been registered for the past 7 years, it just took me rather longer to become active than I expected!)
No prob... I just like throwing that card (or a similar one) on occasions like this... a bit of humor, not intended as a negative thing.
I am unfamiliar with whether or not official recognition was given, but it seems to me that if a formal armistice was declared, then recognition had to be given... and if the armistice was never formalized in writing, then it wasn't.
The Confederation informally agreed with the lmperium to extend the armistice indefinitely. No formal peace treaty was ever signed; indeed, the lmperium does not officially recognize the Confederation.

Yes, and "both parts" of China, when announcing their budgets for their next fianicial year, mention amounts of (non existant) funding allocated to their respective "rebellious province"...
