Great piece of artwork.

Has anyone seen any other artwork on this ship ?

How about deckplans ?

High Guard Stats ?

Stats and another illo are in The Traveller Adventure, but the MT UWP can be used with HG just fine. It's just laid out differently

The MT Rebellion Sourcebook has that pic and another (rear view - in gun sights). Never saw any deckplans, official or other, though I did start on my own ages ago. Another of many projects awaiting an actual game to dust off for use...

Another picture apears in the Traveller Adventure on page 139. No deckplans.

Slightly off topic ... In DGP's The Early Adventures inside the back cover is a deckplan and MT stats for a Tukera Lines Long-Liner.

That's all I could find.

Ah, beautiful ! That's what I was looking for :D

I knew I'd seen one someplace.

The Sanders/Keith Bros Letter of Marque supplement has the Dakaar-class
1800-ton ship with modest deckplans. I can probably adapt something
from that if need be.

The TNE campaign I ran in the early 90s featured this as the player's ship - I created deck plans - I'll see if I can locate them and scan them in for sharing. Always loved this ship.

Lovely ship! What's her tonnage and how many decks does she have? Compared with the crew on her hull, she looks to be around 1000dT. I imagine she pulls double duty as a cargo and passenger hauler.

Can't wait to see LD's deckplans; he always does a great job.

IIRC Comes in at 2000dtons, 2g/J2 in the base ship. A "secret" J6 version also exists. Both are "Frontier Traders" with self-refuelling capacities etc.

The "Rebellion Sourcebook" for MegaTraveller has more on the ship and it's capacities

I think I've got a decent Adventure Seed for that picture too:

Change that smidgen of civilization in the top left to trees and make it
a complete wilderness refueling on a remote planet that has atmo, some
water and virtually no population or gas giants.

Basic Premise: a J6 version of the transport is jumping between X and Y
which is 12+ parsecs distant, taking a load of 500 gold bars for Ling
Standard Products (which is heavy into mining). About 100 MCr (each
bar is 20 lbs and gold is 625 per ounce).

Item: The air/raft is a decoy pre-set into the area by someone nasty,
like McClellan Factors, or Arkesh or the Merchant Princes of Skull; who
have found out the secret jump schedule and cargo which takes place
every quarter. It could be marked with 3rd Imperium equivalent of Red
Cross markings.

Item: They approach the ship, staying clear of the weapon mounts and of
course take out the crew on the dorsal with Snub Weapons and Accelerator
Rifles. Then gain entrance. The air/raft has at least 6 armed men
inside.

Item: They then loot the ship and using Hans post, leave Vargr DNA
(swatches of hair) around, since the Vargr figure heavily in the region;
assuming it the Towers or The Traveller Adventure region of space.

Then the fun starts ;)

Need to see if any planets fit the bill.

I'd say two decks above the water, one below and then IIRC some fins/fuel tanks extending further down

======================

There is an adventure (actually a short campaign) featuring a TJ (the J6 version) being dispatched by Norris to the Corridor depot to fetch some spare parts needed to bring a mothballed battleship back into service. On the way there they also carry some passengers that want to go home. So far, so easy. Except that the mission starts a few month after Lucan recalled the Corridor fleet...

Oh, that's interesting - the version in Digest#4 (CT stats) and Early Adventures (MT) is 1000dt, but RSB says 2000dt.

The ship in Early Adventures is a 1000 dt Tukera Lines Long Liner, a passenger ship. The ship that started this thread is a 2000 dt Imperial Lines Frontier Transport TI/TJ. It's primarily cargo an in the description in The Traveller Adventure is " The frontier transport requires a crew of 21 ... The ship does not normally carry passengers." The cargo is listed as 1114 dt for the TI (194 for TJ).

In complarison, the Long Liner has 130 dt of cargo (MT stats).

Hope this helps.

Okay, basic data from MT:

TL-15 Typ TI: 2000dt, J2/M2, Streamlined hull with minimum required armor (planetfal capabel), Armed with a mix of Missiles, Fusion Guns and Beam lasers (If I rear it right 3 triple missiles, one double Fusion, 4 triple beam lasers, 4 triple sandcasters), 3xModel 9 computer with EMP-hardening, 21 Crew in 12 staterooms, carries a shuttle and an air/raft as subcraft, 11610Kl cargo space (IIRC 14kl=1dton)

TL-15 Typ TJ: As above but J6/M2, 4050KL cargo space

Comparing the two pictures the ship sitting in the water has two decks fully or partially submergerd plas two wings each as wide as the widest part of the hull and about half a deck thick hidden

==============

The german "Ergänzungsband 5 - Splitter des Imperiums" has Deckplans for at least one of the ships according to the Toc. Availabel through DTR for $8.5

Looks like 2 other illos in Letters of Marque, one with the TI/TJ being attacked by a Type-T and the other with a Subsidized Merchant in the
background.
