Imperiallines TI/TJ & it's shuttle?

Hi folks, long time no post ;)

I've started re-learning how to use Lightwave from the ground up, using all of the training vids that NewTek has on it's website, and one of my plans is to re-do all of my classic models using the new techniques I'm picking up.

One ship that's been on my to-do list forever is the Imperiallines TI/TJ shown in the MT Rebellion Sourcebook. It's listed as having an air/raft (no sweat) and a shuttle (umm...) as sub-craft. I think I only know of the one shuttle illustration in the MT Imperial Encyclopedia...has it and deckplans for it appeared anywhere else? What about other illustrations of the TI/TJ? And where is that shuttle PUT??? The TJ illo looks like it might dock externally under the main hull, though the recessed fairing is certainly not the shape of the one shuttle illo I've seen....

Thoughts & suggestions?

Thanks!
Jesse

TI/TJ illo:
Traveller Adventure, p. 139 (not certain which, tho), p114 (which matches the one on the right on 139, but isn't clearly ID'd)

Shuttle Illos:
The Traveller Book p. 63
Judges Guild Starships & Spacecraft pdf v1p26

Shuttle deckplans:
CT supplement 7, p. 40.
Judges Guild Starships & Spacecraft pdf v2p3

Thanks for the reply, Aramis.
Rats, I don't have The Traveller Adventure or The Traveller Book, nor the Judge's Guild .pdf's :( Have to practice some more Google-Fu....

CT Supp 7 doesn't have the shuttle, btw ;)

Thx,
Jesse

the JG one is available free from FFE via DTRPG...
TTA and TTB are available via DTRPG or from FFE on the CD.

Though the shuttle is 40dT in a CT book which I cannot recall, 95dT in TNE and MT. The Shuttle Illo in MT and TNE are identical to the CT illo, IIRC.

Heck, I could have sworn that that was the CT book with it...

Welcome back Jesse!

Regarding the TJ illo, the two 'targeting circles' near the centre of it, one apparently centred on the centre-point of the recessed fairing, the other overlapping that circle suggests a docking display on a returning shuttle. Also, there appear to be wing-shaped areas flanking the recessed fairing - perhaps to accommodate the shuttle's wings?

Thanks for the "welcome back" Starviking. You know, after all these years I think you're right about the docking thing...I'd always thought it was an aiming reticle! LOL!!!

The shuttle is listed as 95t for the TI/TJ, not the 40t pinnace that's in CT Supp 7.

Same illo as spinward marches campaign is on page 80 imperial encyclopedia with stats as 95 ton.

took me a while to look it up

Thhbbtttppp!!! :P ;) It's also a bit much to jump into straight away. I'm going to start with re-doing the Scout to get out the kinks and figure things out from the stuff I've been learning. If the TI/TJ doesn't make it this year, it'll be a really nice piece for next ;)

Highport?

I've got Scouts, Beowulfs, and Xboats coming out of my ears, so something different would be good.

Maybe an idea for a high port? Ears for Scouts, Beowulfs and XBoats. The nostrils as launchbay for fighters and the mouth is for bigger craft?
