Interesting Settings Part II

I believe somewhere in the book, possibly under animal encounters, there's mention of the possibility of a "fungus" planet. That is a planet "inhabited" or "populated" solely by fungus life forms (not the B-movie talking kind with spears, just the regular stuff).

Has anybody ever taken their party to a planet like that?

How about the proverbial "dinosaur planet"? If so, what period?

There was a "fungus" planet in one of the Travellers' Digests, back in the day.

Anyone got an issue number for it?

Starviking

Stainless; I think it's mentioned in the old hardbound edition, but I don't have it handy to reference.

Nobody's done a prehistoric setting?

This would be quite easy to make with the level of biotech the Solomani (and probably the Imperium as well, though they'll be less enthusiastic to do this) have - and probably this could be a hunting-resort planet.

... nevermind about moldy worlds then.

How about primeval, primordial or molten worlds? New worlds, or worlds that are "like new" (to borrow from many a salesman).

Anybody ever take their PCs to an "Integral Trees" like setting?

Vargr worlds? All the time when they were in Marches. What made them so alien even when the visited the same world on a return trip it had radically transformed. K'kree worlds, I have shunned, partially because I find there is not enough information on the K'kree for me to make it realistic enough (I have all that has ever been written officially) and I have not had a steady game group since I acquired Gateway to Destiny. So the K'kree just remain enigmatic NPCs IMTU.

Do you have, or have you looked at, the GURPS Alien Races #2 with the K'Kree description? It's pretty useful stuff.

Anybody else?
