Greetings Fellow Travellers:

Not much to say, I have been playing Traveller since the days of the little black books (which I still have :D).

Bought and have inherited in to my loving care all sorts of CT-T4, (and GURPS Traveller, if for no other reasons than sometimes they have new info and the Art ROCKS!)

Anyway, is me so far. I am always willing to answer questions, though the answer may be "no comment". :P

Well, I thought I saw something about play Traveller online, so off to find a Starship and a Patron.

And one last thing, I am officially old enough to Adventure now, wow terms are rough!

1/4 term college, 2 terms Marines, 4 3/4 terms adventuring... 7 in all.

Failed: 1 str save, 1 dex save, and 2 end saves (thank pre-enlistment & USMC for those pluses on all 3 stats, still have a decent amount of both left).

My real Terms.

Me, I got 0.5 terms of college (police sci), 1 term as an S/O and about 4 terms as a dispatcher. Re-enlisted as dispatcher again for a 5th term, and man, the aging rolls suck. Got lots of negs in the upper three, but got bumps in the lower three. :) Plus I got decent Mustering Out benefits.

So, I can do scan-com and assist in the med bay. Also, I can steward and watch the restricted areas. In addition, I have Admin and Bureaucracy so I know Law and Paperwork.

May have other skills, but I'd have to really think about it.

OH, in honor of your recent archaeological and necromantic activities, I give you this (tongue-in-cheek) award:

Welcome aboard, and happy posting! :toast:

Wow, my own MotG card and it's black!

Awesome! Glad I could do the good work. Accepts card (downloads page with image) with Glee!

Thanks and you welcome and have started on posting my butt off.

Now if only I could put it in a deck....

One Term Marines, One-3/4 terms College, 1/4 term Army Military Police, middle of second term as Lawyer.

Pistol-1, Rifle-2, Shotgun-0, Computer-0, Ground Veh-1, Tactics-1 (limited to directing use of TL-7/8 aircraft), Comm-0, Admin-2, Legal-2

Edu+5, Soc+3, -2 to Edr and Str...and my major aging rolls are still coming up

Traveller and the Military.

Wow, what's up with all the military (and it seems more so the Marines) playing Traveller?

Not that I don't dig the military, but being 4F, I failed out my init term and went off to the bureaucracy. I did get a whooole bunch of paperwork skills tho, and I pick up tactics and logistics by Training.

Well, off to see what other trouble I can get into..

Not all of us are jarheads.

1 term army (armored cav), 3 terms adventuring, 2 finished terms of college (starting third term in fall)

Autopistol-1, SMG-1, Sword-1, Mechanical-1, Computer-1, Admin-2, Leader-1, Tactics-2 (armored vehicle limitation), Mathematics-3, plus too many zero level skills to list here.

And Army Scores!

Wow, and Army comes through with the defense. :D

Is OK, Army, one of my best friends back in the day was 1/75, so don't worry, I still like you too.

'Sides from the sound of it, ya'll are straight up grunts, one and all!

(at least from my understanding of the word, see Robert Mason's Chickenhawk. Don't know if that's the canon, but it always worked for me. :p

Sad truths...

So, good on ya!

But, sadly for all you Leathernecks and Dogfaces out there, my true love, is and will always be, the United States Navy.

Sorry, land forces, but mom's from Mass, and I got to walk the planks and sit on the railings (between belaying pins, only childhood pic I want) of the Flagship of the USN, United States Ship Constitution, Old Ironsides.

Still, God love you dirt dwellers, you do get the nasty parts done, mud, ick. :p

Go Navy!

Magnus, you bring back good memories for me. My Dad was Navy then transferred to the Coast Guard and many of my memories from childhood revolve around ships.

In fact, our house didn't have all of the things you would think a house has - we had decks, bulkheads, ladders (not stairs), etc. When I started school the teacher didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I raised my hand and asked to go to the head.

I had to learn English before I could learn anything else.:)

Your Welcome!

Glad to hear, good things. Actually, I am really annoying, I'm a civilian puke and REMF, but I too still call it the head...can't calc it, but there it is.

2/11 ACR. Black Horse.

Besides, Everyone knows that the navy is just a collection of transport vessels to get real warriors to the fight. For confirmation, just ask any of these Marines around here. :smirk:

This means War, sirah!

Hu-rah Black Horse, so how's Germany. :p

And, um, mud-mucker remember this, when it goes bad, nothing like 16 inch shells, now is there..*wondering when the Zoomie will swoop in and contribute*

Mickey Mouse Roll Call!

CUBBY!

What. Not my turn? Oh, sorry.;)

I was Black Horse in the early 80's. Haven't been in Deutschland since 85.

I was a 4 year Navy JROTC Cadet, 3 year CAP cadet, and 3 month active duty US Army. (A bipolar diagnosis is a career ender.)

Can you be triple polar :p

Rock on, and I understand the bi-polar deal, bum hand, but hey, we are still here, which bodes well for us. And man could pick between, planes, ships or mud, huh. Sure, you aren't a spacer at heart. I know I am.
