Wrong. The geek code puts the T first in all rulesets.
Really, tho, he should be saying Reb-- unless he also hates the rules.
I was using the listing from http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showpost.php?p=252712&postcount=1 that DOES say MT. not to belabor the point but if it has to have a T at the beginning, then would Mongoose be TMG?
Consider the point belabored, and take Wil's comment in stride, since this is just meta-silliness about a game anyway. In fact 'mt' is cleverer and more understandable than 'tm', but for some reason way back when I standardised on the 't'. And yes I suspect Mongoose Traveller would be tmg. But I'd be pleased to see 'rtt' ('Riki-Tiki-Traveller') or 'mng' or anything really.
That's a draft that is not yet adopted.
