Outrage, pure outrage....Hex is mandatory, one of the things I do hate about GURPS Traveller...no hex and they messed up the Starport Classes. Grrrrr.

Converting GT starport classes to Traveller starport types is no hassle.
I also suspect that UWPs will appear in the world building book and they already appear in the TMB and SM books; UPPs are also mentioned in the TMB.

What I believe that you are all waiting for is Mongoose Scouts...and unless it is written by the good Doctor Evil Ganymede and a staffer...that would balance the Hard SF with a Soap Opera...we will be in for endless debates. The first book, I am glad that it did not have a lot of things...as my feedback tells me one of the reasons that people shy away from Traveller is the endless tables & charts. When I picked CT Scouts, I was overwhelmed. Better to have worlds as a descriptor...plus are you saying that you have come up with the Grand Unified Theory for the UWP that would include Alien government types and exotic in some bands of the planet and insidious in others...don't believe me...visit Beijing and Vancouver and tell me if you can see the difference...

Totally different person I'm sure. Well, 99%+ sure, there is no such thing as absolute certainty where people are concerned. I presume ganymede and the Evil Dr Ganymede, aka EDG, here on CotI (when he was here on CotI) are not the same person from a number of observations. Not that I haven't felt a presence now and then but I'm sure he'd never post here. Again 99%+ sure.

They have my respect in light of that they are producing a line of books that is selling. And there are even new players, and returning old ones.
Not really sure why that is so hard to understand, or why that's a bad thing. Or where anyone gets off knocking it, no matter how qualified they may think they are.
It is the same sort of snobbery that I have encountered in both the Music and Comics industry, where of course there is only one flavor of fun, and all else is of course total worthless garbage. Perfectly logical. :nonono:
