Joyfulness! a CT game at last!

slyen2002

SOC-12
finally got a ame going and it was fun!

using only books 1-4 i managed to take 8 NPCs that had only one into their gun cmobat skills arm 3 of them with Auto Rifles and the rest with SMGs and they got killed by the PCs but not before killing a PC who though he could get aaway with hiding a Guass Rifle, a Shotgun, a autopistol, 10 clips for the Rifle, whoever knows how much ammo for the other guns, and was generally unbalanced and had a whiney player.

happyness and Joyfullness!

I finally killed off that annoyance...
And he was my first kill as a Ref...against anything.....

anyway it went pretty good until i had to switch gears to D&D because i didn't have anything planed out past then and i was starting to fall asleep...

yes and no

yes inthe facts that ive done T20 games that where good because the people knew what they where doing have learned on the d20 system and 2 CT games one was good the other was a flop.

The flop was my first CT game ever run and the second was more of a testing to try to do it right.... the one with the 70 someodd hits... there is a bit of cunfusion though but i should be able to ease it out, and if i dont i can check here for help....and if not here somewhere else...repaet until answer is found or just go with it a way from there.

this has been my 3rd and best... mainly because there have be vertirually no NPCs and it was just a big bar fight which will have a fallow up.

I like how i described the bad guys...

Here's what this game looked like in the 80's:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2547&item=5942867212&rd=1

The scale was one third the size of the current edition, all three versions for sale in this lot came with three lane road sections, and the two boxed editions came with city maps.

If you want to improvise your own game, car counters are 1 inch by half an inch. Each second, a car will move one inch for each 10 mph of speed. Driver skill is used to keep control of the vehicle. Violent maneuvers at high speeds should have enough of a DM to ensure the vehicle crashes and burns.

BTW, Car Wars scale was 1":15' (1/180) so the 1/4th inch squares are 3'9", or just about 1.2m close enough for use of the ped counters on the Traveller deckplans at 1/4":1.5m
