If the last known female relative dies what does a male Aslan do?

Meaningless question. There's always a female relative. Families are part of prides that are part of clans. If the last female familiy member dies (possible, though unlikely), the pride leader(s wife) arranges a marriage. If the last female of the pride dies (extremely unlikely), the clan lord(s wife) arranges a marriage. If the last female of a clan dies (not going to happen), a neighboring clan will "offer" a merger.

Not to dump on the OP but I find it highly unlikely that an Alsan male would find himself without any female relatives. Seriously it's more likely to go the other way, with the males getting themselves killed thru warfare.

For an Alsan to find himself without females might mean his clan was wiped out, possibly by some sort of WMD attack on it's lands while he was away at war.

In this case he'd like as not simply devote his life to doing as much harm to the enemy that launched the attack as possible.

This is a culture where a male's real name is a complete list of how he is related to the clan lord, regardless of how many links that are involved. So, yes, I feel there's nothing strange about counting the 49th cousin 11 times removed as the closest female relative (If she is, that is).

EDIT: And the name of a female is 'daughter/sister/mother of <important male relative>'.
