In this year of the 30th anniversary of Traveller, it gets me in a reflective mood. Maybe, "sadness is happiness for serious people." I don't if it is a morbid fascination with things past as a result of being a librarian.
But, I am intensely interested in the last days of GDW and Imperium Games. I have read Loren's account from the Q&A. If others have anything more that they have heard, kindly step in. Naturally, Ancients would be making the best contributions and I would really like to hear from them first hand. As I along with many think that Joe Fugate & Dave Nilsen's accounts intensely interesting.
I am also intensely interested the rebooting of the franchaise of which I am sure that Mongoose will be keeping us informed. What of QLI or SJG that has not been told elsewhere...ie. approached Marc, he liked the idea and I went on to publish...
Learning the histories of these great companies might help avoid the pitfalls that will result from the proliferation of start-ups that might be the result of the Traveller OGL. So please, share, your thoughts, wisdom, antecdotes, etc.
