I put in.."forward three paces then left five paces then forward seventeen"

forward three paces then left five paces then forward seventeen

Proceed to step forward three steps left 1705 years

Go three steps forward one step left of the year 1705

The next step, the last three years to 1705 to the left one step

The left next step was a step 1705, the last three years

The next step is a step left in 1705, the last three years

The next step is step remaining in the year 1705, the last three years

Step the next step, the last remaining year 1705, the last three years

Next step is the last remaining step 1705, the last three years

The last remaining step in the next step 1705, the last three years

The next step in 1705 was the last remaining steps in the last three years

Year 1705 is the next step, you run the past three years the last remaining steps

Year 1705, if the next step is to run the past three years the last remaining steps

If last year was 1705, the next step is to run the last three remaining steps in the last year

If last year was in 1705, following the instructions at the end of last year's three remaining step is to run one

If the last 1705 years, the remainder of the last three instructions at the end of the steps is to run one by one

Cases, the last in 1705, the last step, the last three the rest of the instruction is to execute each one

Case 1705, and finally, the last step, the last three for each one of the rest of the instruction is to perform one

Case 1705, and finally, the last step, the last three for each one of the rest of the instruction is to perform one

Wheeeee!!!!! thats fun hehehe. I am keeping this site handy, oh yes i am..

Getting back to what was supposed to have been the original subject in the original thread, yeah, it's got plenty of potential use for game preparation.

Mistranslation, especially automatic mistranslation, offers plenty of opportunity for misunderstanding, and it's even conceivable that - as the political example showed - the "translation" can even be quite opposite to what the speaker intended. The resulting interaction can be quite entertaining to watch.

Applying it to in-game archaeology is also good, because if there are no living relatives of the language you're trying to decipher, you'll never know whether you've translated the inscriptions correctly, no matter how outrageous the translation seems. If it further seems to firmly contradict some local religious tradition, the results can be quite entertaining to watch. From a distance.

Supposedly theres a 'daughter' program (or whatever the software term is) that runs the equiblibrium through different languages that can be selected. So instead of Japanese as your stanslation, you can muddle through the vaguries of German => English, Russian=> English or Chinese => English.
Wow, those have to be a nightmare.

Anyway, I"ll keep looking.

This could be an interesting variant, if for no other reason than different languages are going to mistranslate things in different ways.

If you find that variant, please post a URL here...

Here's a song... translated sentence by sentence from what's in the spoiler...

Please love me. Please my land.
Here. Can not stand.
So please do not free me.
If you can not take me from the sky.

Burakkuauto get me.
'I' does not return my day comin.
Burn the land And boil the sea.
If you can not take me from the sky.

Since I can put the peace.
But you can not take me from the sky.

Spoiler:
Take my love. Take my land.
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care, I'm still free.
You can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black.
Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land And boil the sea.
You can't take the sky from me.

Have no place I can be since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me.
